Focus is the daily operation of a feed mill as manager, tackle constraints, seize opportunities and be future proof. Insight in productivity and production methods, how to monitor the feed mill
Focus of this programme is to prepare for management and advisory of a feed mill.
Therefore the programme contains assignments in the feed mill, practical training in the feed mill leading to knowledge how the mill should be operated. Theoretical background for the lay out of the feed mill is given.
Furthermore practical and theoretical knowledge on raw materials used, with focus on available raw materials. Insight in the laboratory requirements in order to assess the nutritive value of the used raw materials.
Preparing a well-balanced ratio to be produced for a specific
category of poultry or pigs with help of computer programmes to formulate the correct ratios.
Storage and handling of inputs and products so the quality of the delivered product meets the standards.
Have insight in the possible contaminations of the used raw materials and their risks.
The production of the feed in the feed production unit
is efficient, both technically and economically.
Orientation on market possibilities and developments.
A well-motivated business plan for starting or renewing
a feed production unit is written.
