'Gender’ is more than a buzzword in development jargon. This course builds your ability in dealing with gender issues. You learn to systematically analyse gender differences in interest and influence. And we will guide you in defining concrete strategies to achieve equitable development benefits for men and women.

At the end of this course you are able to:
*  apply a gender perspective to ensure equality and equity in your development intervention
*  include gender-related aspects in the formulation, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of interventions
*  apply an appreciative inquiry approach at relevant stages of the project or programme
*  understand the process of social change
*  solve gender issues in the workplace

PARTICIPANTS
You are an adviser or desk officer in a development project or programme, a trainer or a consultant. Or you are involved in project design, fundraising or proposal writing.
