In this training we focus on the correct management of the parent stock. Especially differences broiler and layer parent stock, feeding and housing systems get attention.
All hatchery aspects like theory of the hatching, chick development, and climate during the hatching process are trained.
In the practical classes we set eggs, candling and break out result is trained and we hatch the eggs.
Excursions to a hatchery and a breeding company are included.
During economic classes we pay attention to the cost price of a hatching egg and a d.o.c..
The lay-out of a hatchery in relation to the parent stock farms is the assignment students have to work out and present during the training.
