International Business
Bachelor

The bachelor's programme International Business is a three-year programme (taught in English) that examines the efficiency and effectiveness of international business organisations and their employees
Are you curious about what's going on in the business world? Do you question how companies determine their strategies? Are you interested in the way companies operate in the field of Human Resources Management or marketing?
The International Business programme:
* teaches you not just about the strategy, resources and management required to make a business run, but also the skills to put these into practice: conflict resolution, leadership, teamwork, presentation skills and more;
* gives you opportunities for practical and international experience: you spend one semester studying abroad, get in touch with real companies at 'business days', do research projects or follow an internship.
At the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics you can either choose to do the regular track in the bachelor's programme International Business, or to choose the specialisation Emerging Markets. Next to that you also choose a major for the third year. You have the possibility to choose one of the seven majors offered: 1) Accounting, 2) Finance, 3) Information Management, 4) Marketing, 5) Organisation, 6) Strategy and 7) Supply Chain Management.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.
