International Class - Christian Education
Short or summer course

This course enables Dutch students together with students from different countries to learn about and familiarise themselves with the background of (Christian) education in different contexts.
The International Class is a learning environment between cultures and people from different cultures. The central theme is: (Christian) education crossing the borders. Dialogue will help clarify students’ own ideas and approach and will help them to broaden their perspectives on teaching.
An important part of the course focuses on the development of education in developing countries International Class helps the student to be in touch with themselves and others by exchanging views on different educational concepts.
The course offers educational help and promotes integration of different ways of thinking and different cultures. The student decides on which aspect to focus on and then sets to work on it. The perspectives of past, present and future all receive due attention. This is in accordance with our aim for participants to gain knowledge during their time with the International Class and for them to then optimally use this knowledge in their own situation (‘oil slick effect’)
Students will work on their own individual project, which match the needs in their own country and their own learning goals.
