Focus is the management of a poultry farm as entrepreneur/advisor,
the daily operation of a feed mill as manager/advisor/trainer and be future proof in the production of feed and poultry.
Focus of this programme is: The management/ entrepreneurship/ advisory/ training of a poultry farm/hatchery or a feed mill.
The programme contains assignments on farm and mill level, applied lectures and practical training, leading to applied farm and mill analysis with translation to improved technical/economic results.
This requires insight in the management aspects within different poultry farms or feed mills. This implies that one should be aware of applicable production standards and using them in an appropriate way.
Knowledge on poultry behaviour and the ability to monitor poultry is also necessary to draw conclusions on the performance of the farm and/or the hatchery.
Knowledge on the product flow in a feed mill and the ability to observe this and draw conclusions on the performance of the mill
The focus also implies that one should be a discussion partner for stakeholders like managers, veterinarians, feed suppliers/buyers and consumers. Peppered with a lot of practical training (understand, advice and optimize in different professional situations).
