Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation (WCDI) aims to strengthen capacities through projects, advisory services, action research and short courses for professionals. Being part of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), our work is based on the mission ‘to explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life’. Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation contributes to inclusive and sustainable food systems, within the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). WCDI is a strong practice-based organisation meaning the reality check for our course content is assured by our worldwide involvement in training, project implementation, action research and advisory services. The more than 50 experts working for WCDI guide complex multi-stakeholder processes involving governments, businesses, civil society organisations and the scientific community. Systemic thinking, active participation and leadership development are key building blocks in all the courses. Given that we specialise in interactive learning and training methods, the courses offer a great opportunity for participants to share ideas and experiences and develop their professional networks, online and offline.
