Course description

This course is face to face training targeted at agricultural professionals from research, rural advisory services, farmer organisations and the private sector.
Researchers must make their work relevant for the inclusive development of involved communities. And agricultural professionals, farmers and their organizations need up to date information on how to improve most effectively food security.

 

This course introduces you to new approaches and tools for designing and managing participation in action research that will lead to inclusive development, improved livelihoods and food security.

Course content

 

Part 1:

-  Transforming your role as researcher for effective action research

-  Navigating complexity and dealing with unpredictability in innovation processes

-  Action research for social impact in The Netherlands (field visit and case study)

Part 2:  

-  Writing winning proposals

-  Building trust with stakeholders

-  Communicating and Publishing Action Research Results
