Training (in French) on international and transnational criminal law for prosecutors and judges
Short or summer course

Training course in international and transnational criminal law for national prosecutors and judges from Francophone African countries. Through the capacity training activities, we equip participants with practical skills, tools and knowledge on how to address international and transnational crimes; strengthen the participants' competences in the domains of cross-cutting issues such as International Humanitarian Law and counterterrorism; endow local authorities with the capacity to ensure effective cooperation with the International Criminal Court; increase standards of fairness in national proceedings; and provide a solid regional and international network.
The training entails a one-week face-to-face training in The Hague, followed by online training sessions. We also provided interactive e-streaming sessions to discuss developments and challenges the participants encounter.
The training course is unique because: 1) it is in French; 2) it comprises topics linked to both ICL and TCL, two fields which are increasingly intertwined; 3) it is longer than similar courses and includes follow-up and e-learning courses; and 4) it creates a safe and trusted environment, conducive to sharing expertise and experience and for the development of a long-term, international network and peer-to-peer learning and checking.
