ArtScience (Fine Art)
Bachelor

Are you interested in both art and science? Are you an inventor, creative and curious? In that case the ArtScience Interfaculty will suit you!
The ArtScience Interfaculty is a collaboration between the Royal Academy of Art (KABK), the Royal Conservatoire (KC) and Leiden University. The Interfaculty offers a unique, practice-based bachelor and master programme that focuses on the development of innovative forms of art. The programme is based on traditions of interdisciplinary art and multimedia and the accompanying interest in the mutual interaction of the senses (synesthesia). In the open climate at the Interfaculty, the continuity between media art, music, theatre, film and visual art is considered to be self-evident. On top of this interdisciplinary foundation, in the projects and labs the intersection between art and recent developments in science and technology is explored.
From day one students participate in a wide variety of artistic research activities in order to learn how to make innovative art works.
