Biomedical Engineering
Master

This engineering programme trains students to research, design and develop innovative products and processes that will benefit the healthcare sector. You will develop medical innovations that really contribute to better care. This dynamic, interdisciplinary field combines engineering with natural and life sciences, such as biology, nanotechnology, physics, electrical engineering, chemistry and mechanical engineering.
During the programme you can specialize in one of three tracks: techniques for visualizing and interpreting the processes in cells and bodies (based on optics, lab-on-a-chip and other in vitro diagnostics, photo-acoustics, ultrasound, radiation and magnetism); the development of technologies that restore function to diseased and damaged organs and tissues; or the restoration of nervous and motor system function.
