Biomedical Engineering
Master
Are there less painful and less harmful ways to detect breast cancer? Can you grow mini-organs using organ-on-a-chip technology to enable personalised care and reduce the use of animal testing in drug development? And how can you design an exoskeleton that helps a patient with paralysis learn to walk again?
In this Master’s, you learn to design technological innovations that improve healthcare; from diagnostics and treatment to rehabilitation, prevention, and quality of life. You combine in-depth knowledge of biology and medicine with technical expertise in fields such as chemistry, physics, nanotechnology, electrical engineering, and/or mechanical engineering. After graduation, you have a wide range of career opportunities. You can work as a biomedical engineer in R&D, as a consultant or product specialist at a medtech company, start your own company, or pursue a career in research.
