Do you want to work on topics such as sustainable energy and chemicals, the production of drinking water, medical innovations, and the development of supermaterials? Our society requires a new generation of chemists to design the processes and materials it needs. Chemical engineers tackle all possible challenges, from developing tiny chemical structures - so small they can fit on a chip - to maintaining, improving and designing reactors or installations, for example. This Bachelor’s offers an excellent academic environment and prepares you for this broad, fascinating practice, with subjects ranging from (bio-)organic chemistry to the design of advanced materials and the operation of chemical processes. As a graduate, you may, for example, develop an energy-saving process that does not yet exist today. Perhaps your research will contribute to the development of a battery that efficiently stores electrical energy and is capable of delivering peak power. In short: your work will matter!
