Communication Science

Imagine understanding the power of communication, media, and digital technology. As a communication scientist, you will learn how media affect people and society, and how society affects media in return. Discover why we use different forms of media, how to conduct research and how to use media to achieve a goal.

Communication Science at the UvA focuses on four main domains: Persuasive communication, Entertainment communication, Corporate communication and Political communication.

You can follow this programme in either Dutch or English. The English track focuses on more international topics and examples. Also, in the English track you study together with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, resulting in an international classroom.
