The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.

Application requirements
Students are required to have successfully obtained a secondary school diploma which allows entry to an academic university. Therefore, students need to obtain a Dutch VWO diploma or international equivalent. It is also possible to apply with a Dutch HBO (University of Applied Sciences) propedeuse or a colloquium doctum.
English: As the GRL programme is fully taught and assessed in English, students are required to demonstrate their English skills by sitting an approved English test (listed below).
