The Master Innovation Management is a challenging program that prepares students to lead innovation processes and manage change in various organizations and sectors.
Innovation Management studies the management of innovation processes and develops theories, tools and techniques to make businesses more innovative. Key aspects of this discipline are management of product
development, technology entrepreneurship, marketing management, human aspects of innovation, strategy and technology management. The program introduces students to academic theories, tools and techniques to manage innovations both within and across companies. You will learn how to use the knowledge that you gain in carrying out research into innovation management and in industrial applications. You will also learn how to analyze the current innovative performance of a company, explain it in terms of quality, cost and time, and improve this performance by re-engineering innovation processes.
As a graduate you are well-prepared for a wide range of positions and careers. You can work as a product development manager, innovation manager, procurement and inventory manager, strategy consultant, or manager of research and development alliances. You can also start your own business or choose a career in research.
The Master IM at TU/e is a 2-year, full-time, English-taught program.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.
