Marine Sciences
Bachelor
What do you think about the Ocean Clean-up Project? Do you see offshore wind farms as a good alternative to obtaining renewable energy? Do you follow social media accounts about oceans and marine animals? Dive deeper into these topics with the Marine Sciences bachelor’s programme.
The way we use the seas is changing. For food, mineral extraction, transport, wind energy and tourism. Warming seawaters, overfishing, pollution, and rising sea levels have deep effects on ecological processes and the communities living by and from the sea.
In the English-taught Marine Sciences bachelor’s programme, you learn to understand marine systems. Study the sea from an ecological perspective, but also focus on the importance of the ocean for food and society. For example, dive into the causes and consequences of ocean pollution and opportunities for sustainable food supply.
