Molecular Chemistry
Master
Molecular Chemistry is a creative science, which involves the synthesis of molecules with new biological or physical properties in order to meet scientific or societal challenges. The possibilities are endless!
The specialisation in Molecular Chemistry is a thorough programme at the heart of chemistry, covering all stages from molecule design to application. The specialisation offers education in connection with top-level research in the Institute for Molecules and Materials (IMM), enabling you to develop in-depth knowledge of the design, synthesis and characterisation of unprecedented functional molecular structures. In your internships, you can conduct independent research, under personal guidance of a researcher. Not seldom this leads to a scientific publication with you as a co-author.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.
