Orientation Year Economic Programmes
Bachelor

Choosing an economics programme is a big step. But what if you are unsure about the content? What if you need guidance, space to reflect, and honest feedback to help you find your path? In the Orientation Year we focus exactly on that, so you can make a solid choice between the associated programmes: International Finance & Control, International Business, or Marketing Management. Dutch-speaking students can also choose: Bedrijfskunde, Commerciële Economie, Finance & Control, Human Resource Management, or Ondernemerschap & Retail Management. Experience a full year of higher professional education, earn your propaedeutic degree, and receive guidance in choosing the right degree programme. During this orientation year, you’ll discover which study path suits you best.
How to Apply
This year, only a limited number of spots are available for the orientation year. When you apply via Studielink, you’ll need to fill out a short questionnaire. Your answers will help determine whether you’re admitted to the orientation year. If you’re not selected, you’re still welcome to start in the regular first year of International Business, Marketing Management, or International Finance & Control.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.
