Master

The MA Philosophy is the place where cutting edge philosophical research meets the classroom. This enables our students to engage in contemporary philosophical debates.
As of September 2020, ESPhil intends to offer a renewed Master programme under the title Philosophy Now. Based on the existing two tracks, the new programme will offer four clusters of courses, each of which is centred around a specific area of current societal challenges:
- Subjectivity and Culture;
- Politics of Wealth;
- Ecology and Technology;
- Democracy and Truth.

The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a student-centred system based on the student workload required to achieve the objectives of a programme of study. Its aim is to facilitate the recognition of study periods undertaken by mobile students through the transfer of credits. The ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits are equivalent to the workload of full-time student during one academic year.
