How can governments take action to combat climate change and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? How can governments ensure the protection of data security and privacy rights of citizens in times of rapid technological change? And what does it take for governments to keep healthcare affordable and available for all citizens? If you are fascinated by the role governments and public organisations play in tackling the grand challenges of our society today, the one-year, English-taught Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Twente is right for you.

You will learn how to address challenges within the public sector in today’s technologically transforming world. More than gaining a strong, broad foundation, you get to develop your own profile within a domain of your choice (e.g. public safety, sustainability, healthcare, public affairs or the Dutch government).

Because of an ageing workforce in many countries and the rise of new (digital) challenges, the demand for skilled professionals within the public domain will continue to grow. That’s why you can look forward to great career prospects, e.g. as a policymaker, policy adviser, lobbyist, or researcher.
